WS1 site (Southern Ocean Atlantic Sector)
The time-series stations Weddell Sea WS1 and WS 2 both are located South of the Polar Front in the Atlantic sector of the Southern Ocean and have been operated through 1985 and 1987 for 363
days and 304 days, respectively.
To get an overview about the data available in the following section, please have a look at the map and the variable/parameter profiles (.pdf document).
In order to present properly the results Ocean Data View (Reiner Schlitzer, Alfred Wegener Institute for Polar and Marine Research) has been applied.
Data are available as tab-delimited .txt files in ASCII format. If you have comments on that, please let me know (Nicolas Dittert, WDC-MARE).
All ORFOIS related data with respect to WS1 are continuously updated.
